Current US visa photo requirements

  • Format: The image must be square. Printed photos are 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm); digital applications use a square JPEG meeting the upload tool's current pixel and file limits.
  • Age and pose: Colour photo taken within the last 6 months; full face, directly facing the camera, neutral expression, both eyes open, white or off-white background.
  • No alteration: No filters, AI generation, retouching or facial changes. Eyeglasses are not accepted except for a documented medical exception.

Ordering Online

For online orders, send an original, unedited photo with space around the head and shoulders. We will crop and size it to the selected requirements, but we do not alter facial features or guarantee acceptance of an unsuitable source image.
