How to Book
Contact us to make a booking. For studio portraits you will need to pay a deposit. This can be done over the phone by credit or debit card at the time of booking.
Please be aware that if you wish to change or cancel your booking, we need 7 days notice or you will loose your deposit.

Posing tips for actors’ headshots
Your strongest headshot should feel natural, current and recognisably you. You do not need to arrive with a catalogue of poses: use these simple principles, then let the photographer guide the small adjustments that work best on camera.

Begin with relaxed posture
Stand comfortably tall, lower your shoulders and keep your jaw loose. Good posture creates confidence, but holding yourself too rigidly can make the expression feel forced.

Make small changes of angle
A slight turn through the shoulders or a small chin adjustment can change the whole photograph. Move gradually and follow the photographer’s direction rather than fixing one pose.

Connect through your eyes
Look into the lens as though you are responding to another person. Think about a character, objective or real memory so the expression has intention instead of becoming a blank camera stare.

Vary expression naturally
Work through subtle shifts: neutral, warm, confident, thoughtful and a genuine smile. Casting teams need believable range, not exaggerated expressions or theatrical character poses.

Keep hands and movement simple
Most actors’ headshots concentrate on the face, so hands will usually remain outside the frame. If they are included, keep fingers relaxed and avoid gestures that compete with your expression.

Wear clothes that support you
Choose well-fitting plain tops in colours that suit you. Avoid large logos, busy patterns and costume-like styling; the photograph should suggest casting possibilities without locking you into one role.
Prepare for the session
Arrive looking like the person who will walk into an audition. Keep hair and makeup familiar, allow enough time to settle, and tell the photographer what roles and casting level you are targeting.

- Keep makeup natural and skin texture believable.
- Practise expressions, not fixed poses.
- Share any agent or casting brief before the shoot.
